www.floristbook.com kom i bruk redan 1995. På den tiden sålde mit moderbolag, Inter Merc J. Otzen AB bl. a. band till blomstergrossister över hela Skandinavien och Finland.
I tidningen, Profil Floral fanns alltid annonceringar om mina band, så jag tycke, det var en fin ide att sälja tidningar till blomsterhandlare primärt, för på det viset visa fram nyheterna på bandsidan. Då kunde ju blomsterhandlarna efterfråga banden hos sin grossist.
Sagt, så gjort, och Inter Merc AB började sälja tidningen, men inte så snart hade vi såld tidningar, då skulle vi även skaffa fram böcker, och köpsuget var då stort. Webshoppen blev en realitet, men böcker ska nog ses i verkligheten, och inte enbart på EN bild. Då fanns de tekniska möjligheter inte för i systemet att ha mer än en bild per artikel. Nu finns det.
Med tiden var artikellistan uppe över 100 titlar, men efterfrågan har nog svalkat av en del igen.
2007 var året, där jag, efter flera års medicinering, äntligen fick en knäoperation, som fungerade. Dock innebar det, att resandet stort sett var slut, eftersom mina agenturer inte ville ha en gammal man med dåliga ben.
Resandet har minskats, men intresset för branchen, dessa glada florister överallt består, och därför håller jag på en tid till.

www.floristbook.com came into use in 1995. At that time, my mothercompany, Inter Merc J. Otzen AB sold among others flower ribbons, wire, decoration materials to flower wholesalers throughout Scandinavia and Finland.
In the magazine, Profile Floral were always advertised about my ribbons, so I thought it was a good idea to sell these magazines to florists , because in this way show the new designs of ribbons. Then could florist ask with his wholesaler.
Said, so done, and the Inter-Merc AB began selling Profil Floral Magazines, but not so soon, we had sold the magazines, then we would also obtain books and the interes was enourmous.. Webstore became a reality, but the books will probably be seen in real life, and not just as a picture. At that time the technical possibilities were not for the system to have more than one picture per article. Either the rights to show pictures.Now there is.
During the years we had an article list with more than 100 titles, but demand has cooled a little the last years.
2007 was the year where I, after years of medication, finally had a knee operation, that worked. However, this meant that travel was almost over, because my agencies did not want an old man with a bad leg to be their representative any longer.
Travel has been reduced, but my interest in the flower business, these happy florists everywhere is giving me the strength to continue.
The picture above is from the Finnish championships in Helsinki, the big shopping center Itä-keskus 2004. My wife and I have seen many, many fine works all around, and met a lot of wonderful people.
